About Me
Do you feel like you have more to give the world? Are you having trouble at school or at work? Self esteem and confidence lagging? Anxiety and worry keeping you from fulfilling your potential?
I help adolescents and young adults lean into their true selves to identify their strengths and combat their concerns. Whether you are dealing with school-age issues, anxiety and worry, or peer relationship struggles your needs will always be at the center of our sessions. We will use a brief solution-focused approach and draw upon evidence-based counseling techniques to identify and work toward your goals. I love getting to know YOU and what makes YOU unique, then using your strengths, knowledge, and experiences to help you get the most out of life. In our sessions I work to make you feel safe, comfortable, and confident in your ability to achieve what you want. Let’s work together as you take the next steps in your journey!
My biggest strength is meeting you (the client) where you are at and honoring you for exactly who you are in the world. I have worked for a number of years as a school counselor at the middle school level and have a genuine love for working with adolescents and young adults. I am especially strong at addressing school issues and anxiety and worry, as well as addressing the stressors of life changes that occur at both the adolescent and young adult stages of life. These could include things like self esteem and confidence, trouble with friends and relationships, worries about school or work performance, or transitioning from different educational settings and into the workforce. I am excellent at providing you with concrete skills and strategies that will help you be your best self.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with me?
I use a strengths-based, solution-focused counseling approach, meaning that your personal strengths and experiences will be at the center of our work to help you define and achieve your goals. Cognitive behavioral (CBT) and mindfulness strategies will be woven into sessions as well, providing concrete skills for you to practice as you work towards your goals.
In our first session together you can expect a warm welcome and introduction to counseling, then work on identifying what you as the client want out of therapy. After that, we will work through some basic diagnostic questions, then work together to begin setting a therapeutic goal. You will leave our session with a clear vision of what we will be working on in future sessions and how you will be achieving what you want out of therapy.
Further counseling sessions will always center on what you, as the client, need. We will begin every session with a simple check in, then focus our work on what you need to achieve your goal. You can expect to leave every session with concrete skills and strategies that will help you shine light on your strengths and lean into your best self.
